Course Overview

Our Level 4 course is ideal for students who have completed Level 3 / A-Level qualifications in music or a related field, or relevant experience; and would benefit from an extra year of focused technical training. The course is industry focused, whilst allowing students to explore their creativity within their specialism.
The modern music industry is fast paced and quickly evolving, with opportunities to collaborate across a range of media allowing musicians and producers to monetise their skills and knowledge in new and exciting ways. You will firstly refine your skills in advanced music production and engineering, before working to industry briefs to produce real-world results.
The course has three units, each with a broad range of outcomes designed to allow you to develop your skills and identify your specialisms, leading to a final project realisation unit.

Our course is taught by experienced and highly trained professionals, with external masterclass workshops providing insights and connections to industry.
The course sessions will take place during the working day, approximately 3 days per week at our Arts & Media Campus.

Entry Requirements

Level 3 / A-level in Music or a related field (Film, Performing Arts, Games Design), or relevant experience. 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including Maths and English Language

Level 3-6 Courses

Advanced Learning Loans are available for students aged 19 or over who are studying eligible level 3, 4, 5, and 6 courses. If you are on an Access course, the loan will be written off if you complete a degree.

It is also possible to pay in full or via instalments.

Performing Arts, Level 4 - This course is free if you are aged 18 on 31/08/2025.
