We are committed to providing discounted travel to students where possible. Discounted travel is achieved through negotiations with bus service providers and direct college contributions to transport costs, thus reducing the cost for students. There is additional financial support for those from low-income households.

There many transport options available to students.

A few years ago, due to government cuts affecting all local authorities, Cumbria County Council announced that it had to withdraw bus subsidies and subsidised home to school/college transport for the majority of post-16 students. Since this announcement, we have been working tirelessly to ensure that, wherever possible, students can travel to college at a discounted price.

If you are a part-time student or an apprentice, please contact us to discuss the options available.
