Course Overview
The CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management is for you if:
- You work in an operational HR role and you are ready to step up into strategic HR.
- You want to take the next step in your HR career or get a qualification to substantiate your experience.
- You want to broaden your HR knowledge into new areas, such as employment law.
- You want an academic challenge that will benefit your HR career.
The Level 5 Diploma is a great way to achieve a CIPD qualification. It is ideal if you already have HR experience and wish to develop your skills further as a strong HR practitioner.
The course can be done "stand alone" or as an Apprenticeship option - the Apprenticeship option would take 2 years and include additional sessions and support from Kendal College.
The course is assessed with assignments, presentations and group exercises.

Entry Requirements
Currently working in Human Resources.
CIPD student membership will be required (paid for separately by the learner), which will total GBP138 + a qualification fee.
There are no formal entry requirements for you to enrol. However, this qualification is designed for learners aged 18+ and you should meet the requirements of the learning outcomes and have the appropriate literacy and numeracy needed to complete the CIPD Level 5 Diploma in People Management.
After Your Course
Human Resources Management or Specialist Human Resources discipline careers will be supported by the successful achievement of the level 5 Diploma.
Successfully completing the CIPD Level 5 Diploma in People Management will make you eligible for the Associate Level of CIPD Membership, opening up the path to develop your career and move onto studying at the Advanced Level.

The current full-time & degree-level fee information is related to the 2024/25 academic year.
Level 3-6 Courses
Advanced Learning Loans are available for students aged 19 or over and studying eligible level 3, 4, 5 & 6 courses. If you are on an Access course, the loan will be written off if you complete a degree.
It is also possible to pay in full or via instalments.
Performing Arts, Level 4 - This course is free if you are aged 18 on 31/08/2024.
