The UK’s health and social care system is clearly struggling. With an increasingly ageing population, there is a significant demand for more people to enter the industry. Around two million new workers will need to be trained and recruited.
Yes, there are current pressures in the industry, but health & social care remains one of the most humbling and rewarding sectors. Courses open up a wide and varied range of job opportunities, from nurses, midwives and physiotherapists to care and social workers, psychologists and counsellors employed by the NHS, local authorities, charities and schools. Many of our students also progress to university or Higher Level study in areas like nursing and medicine, and our achievement rates are higher than the national average.
