Course Overview

Launched by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to elevate industry standards, this Ofqual-regulated qualification introduces you to the fundamental concepts of caregiving. Delivered by Kendal College-a Skills for Care Quality Assured provider-this course emphasises a person-centred approach, equipping you with the skills to support the well-being, dignity, and independence of those you care for.

This course bridges theory and practical excellence, ensuring you are fully prepared for the workplace. By the end of this programme, you will be able to:

- Safeguard and Protect: Analyse the core principles of safeguarding vulnerable individuals in care settings.
- Understand Your Role: Evaluate the diverse responsibilities of a professional social care worker.
- Manage Data Securely: Demonstrate effective, confidential methods for handling sensitive information.
- Stay Compliant: Identify and apply key health and safety regulations essential to adult social care environments.

Entry Requirements

No prior qualifications are necessary but the learners must be working in a care setting, and should have the support of their employer to achieve the required practice elements.

After Your Course

Progession within your job role, progression to level 3 adult care and this provides further opportunity for you to make a difference to a person's life through developing the skills, knowledge and professional behaviours as an Adult Care Worker.
