Course Overview

This qualification is part of a full-time programme, studying 3 or 4 A-Level subjects and/or AAQs.

This subject course is designed to be studied as part of our social science study programme. This includes this Criminology course and two or three A-Levels (Psychology, Sociology, Law, Politics, or Philosophy).

Each unit within the qualification has an applied purpose, which acts as a focus for the learning in the unit. The applied purpose demands learning related to authentic case studies. It also requires learners to consider how the use and application of their learning impacts themselves, other individuals, employers, society and the environment.

This will also allow learners to learn in such a way that they develop:
- Skills required for independent learning and development
- A range of generic and transferable skills
- The ability to solve problems
- The skills of project-based research, development and presentation
- The fundamental ability to work alongside other professionals in a professional environment
- The ability to apply learning in vocational contexts

This course will be assessed by two internal controlled assessments and two external examinations across two years.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSE's at Grade 5 or above, to include English Language and Maths.

This course can only be studied alongside two or three A-Levels (subject combinations will be checked during the interview and admission process).
