Thank you for your application to study Music at Kendal College.

Our Music Department provides the ideal balance of music performance and technology. Whether you are a budding songwriter, instrumentalist or vocalist, our industry-trained professionals will help you on your way to succeed.

Our level 2 and level 3 courses have a ‘Performance’ route and a ‘Production’ route. The following information will help you to plan your audition/interview, which is an integral part of our interview process.

UAL Level 2 Diploma Music in Music Performance and Production

Performance option - You will need to sing or play one piece of music. Any style of music would be appropriate.

OR

Production option – You must provide a current example of your music production work. This could be done using a mobile device, a USB hard drive or a streamed recording via the internet. Your example might be a recording you have been involved with using music software or a piece you have written and recorded.

UAL Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance and Production

Performance option - You will need to sing or play one piece of music and be able to discuss reasons for your choice. Any style of music would be appropriate.

OR

Production option – You must provide a portfolio (two to three pieces) of your music production work. This could be done using a mobile device, a USB hard drive or a streamed recording via the internet. Your example might be a recording you have been involved with using music software or a piece you have written and recorded.
