Our T-Level students will gain direct work experience in placements best suited to their career aspirations. They will spend a minimum of 9 weeks over the 2-year course, working with employers in the industry to develop and apply their knowledge, core skills and professional behaviours within the agricultural sector.

The core content includes:
- Sustainability, including environmental legislation, sustainable development, climate change and waste management principles
- The principles of biosecurity
- Employment rights and responsibilities and progression opportunities within the sector

You will also learn about topics specific to agriculture.

In addition to the core content, each student will complete at least one module of occupation-specific content.
- Livestock production; or
- Crop and plant production

Partnership Farms
The college works with a network of partner farms, allowing us to give our students access to a range of farming methodologies, breeds and technology. This means that our students gain a rich and broad practical experience.

Assessment
Assessment is via practical & academic-based assignments, examinations and a series of assessed tasks based on a case study.

Further Opportunities
The department organises a variety of guest speakers throughout the year and the opportunity to gain land-based "ticket" qualifications.
