Adam studied Level 3 Theatre & Event Technology and progressed to studying Live Event Production at Backstage Academy. He has worked as a Venue Technician for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and as a Theatre and Event Technology tutor in college.

I applied to Kendal College, thinking it would be a step in the right direction. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made! The course opened my eyes to the many avenues you can pursue in the industry. I can't recommend Kendal College enough! The tutors and staff are so friendly and supportive. You can make new friends and new memories and really let your creative side flourish!

"I decided pretty late in life to do something new and started looking at the vast range of courses. I found Kendal College offered a Theatre & Event Technology course, which I figured would be a suitable choice to get the required points and experience needed to progress to university. I applied, thinking it would be a step in the right direction. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made!

Since my studies at Kendal, I've been studying Live Event Production at Backstage Academy, and even had a job over summer working as a ‘Venue Technician’, as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!

Venturing down this path partially came from my love of the TV show 'Myth Busters'. I have always loved watching their ideas go from an idea or a drawing on a small scale to a full scale, especially when building big productions! I'd dabbled in a bit of the sound output at home, so I had some vague ideas of what I wanted to do, but the course opened my eyes to the many avenues you can go down in the industry. Even though I came to college strongly leaning toward wanting to work in sound, I got into the set building and the props department.

I have so many great memories of college! Each show we worked on had its moments, whether it was building a giant peach (not an orange!), lighting the Box in red to show our support to the 'We Make Events' campaign, or taking our Final Project to The Form Theatre Facility in Barrow-in-Furness!

I can't recommend Kendal College enough! The tutors and staff are so friendly and supportive. You can make new friends and new memories and really let your creative side flourish!"

Most recently, Adam has been working in college as a Theatre & Event Technology tutor, supporting our students with their Final Year Projects and their incredible show: 'Everybody's Talking About Jamie!'
