Why did you choose Kendal College?
It’s very local to me and has a good reputation for engineering. I came to an Open Evening and saw all the different machines (CNC, robot arm etc.) and heard about the opportunities to use them and decided on the night to choose Engineering.

Is College like you had expected. If not, why?
The equipment is very good and interesting to use. You get lots of guidance and learn to use them safely. The practical and theory work are fairly balanced. The modules we have covered are CAD, CNC, Materials, maths and mechanical principles, Health & Safety, Secondary and finishing techniques, all in the first year.

What do you most enjoy about College life?
I have quite enjoyed the change from school the independence and responsibility for your own learning.

What are you hoping to do after College?
I would like to do a Higher Apprenticeship. I have a rough idea of the area but I'm keeping it quite general which is good about the course.

What facilities do you use regularly at the College?
I use the Library for work and the Café, which is fairly priced and good quality.
