This course is aimed at people with an interest in dance who have an ambition to further develop their knowledge and skills. Over the 14 weeks you will work in our performance studios to develop contemporary and modern dance technique, improve fitness levels, enjoy working on dance phrases and develop two performance pieces to present at the end of the course. You will get the chance to work on movement material developed by practitioners, learning about their techniques and how to execute the movement safely.
You will also have the opportunity to explore choreographic skills, being able to apply your new found skills into the development of some creative performance work. You will be working towards the creation and delivery of two performance pieces to friends and family at the end of the 14 weeks and will complete two units during this course, gaining a Level 2 Award in Performing Arts with UAL.

This is a great opportunity to explore your interest in dance and the performing arts. It can lead onto Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts and the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts at Kendal College.
Course fees are per year for full-time & degree-level courses, and per course for part-time ones. The current full-time & degree-level fee information is related to the 2020/21 academic year and is subject to change before the start of the course. Fees for 2021/22 will be updated in the Spring Term. There may also be additional costs associated with the course.
This course is not funded by the government and is full cost. As such, the course is the price stated for all students. If you are paying for your course, there may be the option to pay by instalments if the course fees are over £200 and the course duration is 15 weeks or more.
