Course Overview

On this fun, educational cookery course, we will inspire you to bake the best bread of your life.

We will teach you our basic bread recipe and show you how it can be adapted in many different ways, giving you the confidence to turn those simple ingredients into something you're proud to serve to your family and friends.

Bread is something that can take a lifetime to perfect, but during this course, you will be shown all the tips of the trade.

If you have a keen enthusiasm to learn new skills and meet likeminded people, this is the course for you. There will be no need to bring anything, as all ingredients will be provided, so just bring yourself and enjoy the experience.

You will learn how to produce bakery products that you can easily reproduce at home. You will learn how to produce bakes in an easy and simple process. You will develop presentation skills to show off your produce. Once you have completed this course, you will have the confidence to make the recipes over and over again.

Over the three weeks you will make:

- Flavoursome garlic focaccia bread.
- Delicious Chelsea buns, fit for any morning coffee.
- Bread rolls, perfect for a dinner party.
- Danish pastries, ideal for any breakfast.

The course will be assessed through non-formal assessment. Feedback will be given to each individual throughout the sessions.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements needed for the course, just a keen enthusiasm for baking and learning new skills.

Fees

£59.00

Course fees are per year. The current fee information is related to the 2018/19 academic year and is subject to change before the start of the course. Fees for 2019/20 will be updated in the Spring Term. There may also be additional costs associated with the course.

This course is not funded by the government and is full cost. As such, the course is the price stated for all students. If you are paying for your course, there may be the option to pay by instalments if the course fees are over £200 and the course duration is 15 weeks or more. Please speak to Student Services for more information on course fees.
