Local artist Annie Coxey, will introduce you to a range of basic craft textile techniques and processes during this fun 4-week introduction. You will explore fabric manipulation and embellishment techniques, hand and machine embroidery and heat transfer approaches using bondaweb and the heat press. These techniques will be combined to create a textile craft accessory such as a brooch, cuff or neck piece.
On completing the course you will be confident in using a range of basic textile techniques and processes and have a small collection of textile samples and a textile accessory to take away.
The course will allow for the opportunity to develop skills working within a specialist art studio and using specialist equipment (sewing machines and heat press) to produce textile craft pieces.
This course is a non-assessed training programme, there is no requirement for you to produce a portfolio of work. Certification for participation can be provided on request.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

This course is not funded by the government and is full cost. As such, the course is the price stated for all students. If you are paying for your course, there may be the option to pay by instalments if the course fees are over £200 and the course duration is 15 weeks or more.
