Our adult dance class is an enjoyable way to increase fitness, strength and flexibility. The classes are taught within a friendly environment helping to improve dance technique and creativity, led by dance specialist Emily Davies.
This course is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of contemporary dance, by learning varied and enjoyable movement skills which help to improve your postural alignment, flexibility and strength. Emily will lead you through new and exciting movement sequences to explore dance technique and have fun!
Open to adults of all ages and ability, this class will boost your confidence, increase fitness and is a great way to have fun and meet new people. You will be involved in a variety of practical workshops to build your knowledge and confidence before delivering a final performance to family and friends to celebrate the progress you have made.
This is an introductory course, so it is suitable for beginners of all ages.

This short course could help you build the confidence to progress onto a Performing Arts course, like our full-time performing arts courses.
Course fees are per year. The current fee information is related to the 2019/20 academic year and is subject to change before the start of the course. Fees for 2020/21 will be updated in the Spring Term. There may also be additional costs associated with the course.
This course is not funded by the government and is full cost. As such, the course is the price stated for all students. If you are paying for your course, there may be the option to pay by instalments if the course fees are over £200 and the course duration is 15 weeks or more. Please speak to Student Services for more information on course fees.
