The course can lead onto BSc (Hons) degrees in quantity surveying, architecture, and specialist management positions in the sector. It will also prepare you to enter the industry through employment and apprenticeships.
There is a guaranteed work placement of 315 hours minimum throughout the programme, giving you valuable experience and an insight into the opportunities available in the sector. We will be working with ENGIE, along with other employers in the area.
This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed for working in the Building Services Engineering industry. You will cover topics such as Health and Safety, construction science principles, sustainability in the construction industry and building services engineering systems.
We currently offer electrotechnical engineering and gas engineering specialisms, and will offer more in the future.
The structure of the qualification is designed to give learners the breadth of knowledge and understanding across the BSE industry but also equips them with necessary occupational, knowledge, and skills to enter the industry. This qualification is designed to support fair access and allows learners to manage and improve their own performance.
Kendal College has state of the art facilities and a range of specialist teachers in this chosen pathway.
The Technical Qualification will be delivered through approaches that meet the needs of our learners. Using a variety of delivery methods, including both classrooms and real work environments.

We would expect 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English & Maths.
