T-Levels, what you need to know:
- Two-year courses
- Equivalent to 3 A-Levels
- Created alongside employers
- Include an extended industry placement (315 hours minimum)
- Attracts UCAS points
- Supports progression into a skilled occupation; higher or degree level apprenticeships; higher level technical study, including university
These Level 3 technical qualifications will provide learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher level technical training or study in the business, leadership and finance sector. The core knowledge and understanding will be assessed through an examination and core skills through a practical employer-set project allowing the learner to apply theoretical practices to the real work environment.
In addition to this, maths, English and general digital skills will be integrated within the qualification in occupationally relevant contexts.
As part of achieving the overall T-Level programme, students are required to complete a minimum of 315 hours industry placement where they will be observed demonstrating competence in their chosen occupational specialism.
The core content for the 3 T-Levels will cover the following areas:
- Business context
An overview of organisational cultures and values, different types of internal and external stakeholder, different forms of governance and the impact of organisations on society and the environment
- Project and change management
An understanding of the common change management theories and models and how to support and improve projects
- Business behaviours
The importance of good communication and adapting social communication styles to professional standards and according to purpose, medium and audience
- Quality and compliance
The importance of maintaining and improving quality in all aspects of public and private sector organisations
This breadth of content will ensure learners can apply their skills for different purposes and in different roles.
How will I be assessed?
This Technical Qualification is assessed via synoptic assignment work, 315 hours work placement which includes observations and activities, examinations and an employer-set project.
5 GCSE's at grade 4 to include English and maths. This qualification is designed for post-16 students.
It is not necessary to have previously studied business related topics to be able to study this T-Level subject.

- HND Higher National Diploma in Business Level 5 two year qualification
- Degree Programme in conjunction with University of Cumbria
- Higher Apprenticeships in a business related area of study and employment
- Higher Education at University in a wide range of business related subjects
- Employment opportunities in a wide range of roles such as business management, marketing, human resources, administration and business finance

The current full-time & degree-level fee information is related to the 2022/23 academic year.
Level 3-6 Courses
Advanced Learning Loans are available for students aged 19 or over and studying an eligible Level 3/4/5 and 6 Course. If you are on an Access course, the loan will be written off if you complete a degree.
You may qualify for financial support to cover the cost of a Level 3 qualification if you do not already have a Level 3 qualification (this will depend on the course & your age on 31/08/22).

The fees displayed are for the 1-year AS-Level course. If you would like to progress onto the full A-Level, please contact us for the cost of the second year as it will be different.
16-18 year olds
There are no course fees if you were aged 16-18 on 31/08/22, and are not studying at another institution.
