Course Overview
Monday Makers runs every Monday during term-time, 6pm - 9pm. You can come anytime, for as long as you want! The aim is to offer an opportunity to employees and/or enthusiasts to pursue projects or update skills using our state-of-the-art engineering facilities, including CAD, CNC machines, CAM software and conventional lathes and mills.
Monday Makers is a space where anyone can create, make and mend. Artists, artisans and engineers all share an impulse to create whether that is a sculpture or a stub axle, we are happy to help your abstract idea become an actual object. If you want to explore digital engineering, modelling, 3D printing or CNC machining there are people who can demystify this process and help you make your part.
If you are part of a company that wants to do R & D or short runs without effecting current production runs we can help with that as well.
From circuit bent instruments to bike components, from industrial equipment to art pieces, from vintage motorcycle parts to wireless systems we have made them all!
This is project based in a supportive workshop environment rather than formal taught sessions.
We ask for a contribution of 5 pounds per session towards materials.
