Due to staff development, the college will be closed to all full-time students from 09:00 – 17:00 on Tuesday 26th November.
Part-time evening classes will run as usual.

Why did you choose this course?
I would like to pursue a career in Mechanics.

Why did you choose Kendal College?
Kendal College was the closest to me so it seemed like the obvious choice, the facilities in the workshop are also better than those at other colleges.

Is College like you had expected. If not, why?
I expected college to be a lot stricter and more like school, I’ve found the environment to be much mature and we are treated like adults.

What do you most enjoy about College life?
I really enjoy the practical sessions where we are able to work on cars.

What opportunities have you had as a student at the College?
Through my work experience I have been able to work in a professional garage which I found really beneficial.

What is the teaching style like on your course?
The course is very practical which is really good because this is how I learn best.

Can you describe a typical day at College?
Busy and productive, we get lots done and learn a lot.

How would you describe your College experience so far?
Fun. I’ve learnt a lot and had a great time doing it, the tutors are really approachable.

What are you hoping to do after College?
Progress on to the Level 2 Qualification next year and then hopefully go into a Level 3 Apprenticeship.

If you could give one piece of advice to people considering College, what would it be?
Try as hard as you can to get high GCSEs, it will allow you to get onto a higher level of course and progress quicker.
