Why did you choose this course?
I aspire to run my own business and this course is the progression from the Level 2 & Level 3 courses I have done here at KC and is, more advanced, with more electrical treatments.

Why did you choose Kendal College?
Reputation and personal recommendations.

What opportunities have you had as a student at the College?
I come one day a week and work the rest of the time in a Beauty related job where I can use the skills I learn at college. I did an apprenticeship route before. Full-time students get to practice their skills in the college salons.

What is the teaching style like on your course?
Theory first to understand the techniques, then a demonstration and then we do it practically and the tutor makes sure you are doing it properly and helps you improve if you need it. The Tutors listen to how each student learns best. I find teamwork and group work helps me learn Theory work best.

How would you describe your College experience so far?
It has been really good, everything I expected, with good support; the tutors are really helpful and you can email them for help which is really good especially when you are only in one day a week.

What facilities do you use regularly at the College?
I use the Salons and canteen for breakfast and dinner; they have a wide variety of food, in my budget.

If you could give one piece of advice to people considering College, what would it be? Find out which is the best college for your course, and not just follow your friends where they are going. I have made a lot of friends here and am so glad that I came here.
