Vacancy Details

At the heart of what we do is a simple idea, to treat people how we would like to be treated, with service and choice as the basis for all our relationships. Founded in 1945 by Bill McClure, McClure’s is now in the hands of his son Keith and grandsons Ben and Matthew. Things have changed a bit in the seventy years since Bill sold Morecambe Bay shrimps from his hand cart in Kendal, but Bill’s values and belief in people have remained.

Nowadays our modern fleet of over thirty vehicles is a far cry from Bill’s cart. He couldn’t have imagined his business would be deemed be one of the Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain, responsible for over one hundred and twenty employees, help 1,200 customers with over 6,000 lines of produce and make thousands of deliveries every year.
