Are you aged between 16-24 and would like to be successful in getting a job or an apprenticeship? Why not consider a Traineeship with Kendal College?
What is a Traineeship?
A Traineeship is a programme of training which lasts between 6-24 weeks, aimed at supporting you to secure a job or an apprenticeship. You will not be paid on the programme, but you will gain valuable work experience that will enhance your CV.
What is involved?
- You will spend 4 days a week in one or more high quality placements with an allocated workplace mentor.
- You will spend 1 day a week at Kendal College (judged as Outstanding by Ofsted) developing your work skills, including English and Maths where appropriate, and skills relevant to your area of interest.
What support will I get?
You will be allocated a named college tutor, who will support you throughout the entire programme. We may also be able to help you with your day-to-day expenses.
At the end of your programme you will be guaranteed a reference and an interview, which may lead to a job or apprenticeship. You will also receive a certificate of completion and support from the college to help make sure you succeed in getting a job or an apprenticeship.
