This is a vocational qualification which includes all the elements to work effectively as a junior make-up consultant including mandatory units covering the following: applying make-up, instruction on make-up application and how to provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments.
You will also develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice in a salon environment, and learn how to promote client care and communication in beauty related industries. The structure of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required for a career as a junior make-up consultant.
Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of the skin, health and safety, client care and cosmetic products. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to prepare the skin and apply a variety of make-up products using different techniques. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.
The primary outcome of the VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Cosmetic Make-up (QCF) is to prepare you to enter the specific sector of beauty therapy as a junior make-up consultant. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific job role of a junior make-up consultant.
