Are you passionate about motorcycles? Would you like to learn more about the mechanics and electrics of motorcycles? Are you considering building a cafe racer, restoring a classic or just simply have the desire to gain greater knowledge?
Whether you want to work on choppers, cruisers, or sports bikes, our Level 1 Diploma will introduce you to the world of motorcycle building, restoration, as well as maintenance and repair. It will provide you with the skills and training you need to develop your passion in the motorcycle performance and the customisation industry.
The course will take you through a complete conversion of a standard classic bike into a cafe racer in real time throughout the whole academic year.
You will learn a range of different skills and procedures for the modification and building of motorcycles, such as; frame fabrication and modification, seat unit, tank modifications, engine builds, suspension and brake upgrades, exhaust system fabrication / modification, electrical modification / construction and manufacturing parts using both CAD/CAM technologies and manual machines such as lathes and milling machines.
There are no formal entry requirements. Just bring your passion. Entry will be subject to an interview.
Entry decisions will be discretionary at interview. Students will continually be assessed through their probation period to ensure they are on the correct level.
