AAT is the UK’s leading qualification and professional body for accounting and finance staff. This intermediate level course is internationally recognised and you will learn key skills which are valuable to all businesses. Classes will include lectures supported by hand-outs, tutor demonstration and worked examples. This is followed by students working practical examples to apply new techniques and practices.

Starting with the basics of financial accounting, the course covers double entry bookkeeping and the adjustments to and preparation of final accounts for sole-traders and partnerships.  Other units cover costing techniques, VAT, professional ethics and the use of spreadsheet for accounting.

The units are assessed by a mixture of AAT computer-based exams and tutor assessments throughout the year.
