This is a catering establishment in the centre of Ulverston owned by a fully qualified Chef with 15 years of experience working all over the world in the catering industry.  The main purpose of this business is to provide high quality takeout homemade food and beverages.

You will have a varied role in which you will gain a whole range of skills and as part of your Apprenticeship your duties will include:

  • Customer service
  • Till work
  • Food preparation
  • Daily baking of homemade cakes 
  • Working as a team member
  • Cleaning to a high standard

Working Week

  • You will work for 40 hours a week on a rota basis
  • 5 days in work 2 days off
  • This will include working weekends on a rota over 7 days
  • Hours are between 8.00am – 5.00pm

Qualifications Required

You will be required to have achieved GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.

Training Provider

  • Your training will include NVQ training, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills (English and Maths).
  • You will be assessed in the workplace and cover off the job training in college. You will build a portfolio of evidence that you will collect from the everyday tasks relating to your job.

  • Your Tutor and Assessor will continually assess your work; this will ensure that you meet the necessary standards to achieve your qualification.

The training provider is Kendal College.

 

Apprenticeship Level

This apprenticeship is available at either Intermediate (Level 2) or Advanced (Level 3). The level will be decided depending on the individuals skills, experience, knowledge and previous qualifications
